We can use your due date to tentatively schedule a Newborn Portrait Session in the Studio just about a week from your due date...and can totally adjust it if need be. Because I'm also a wedding and event photographer, I usually schedule these sessions during the week either in the morning or afternoon/evening.

When baby arrives, contact me as soon as possible to let me know the sweet news! We can then adjust your Session Date and choose a time that day that works best for everyone to get as much sleep as possible or maybe work around dad's back-to-work or a family member who is coming along with you's schedule. 

It's best to try to welcome baby in the studio pretty soon thereafter in the first 5-14 days of baby's life.

Yes - my fully equipped studio is located between Terrell/Sherrills Ford, NC and Denver on Hwy 150 near Lake Norman Marina, Cross Country Campground and The General Store.

Please consider the studio space and know there are several props for seating, posing bean bags for newborns and light stands that we want little ones to be very cautious around - these are not toys. We want everyone to stay safe and respectful of the studio and equipment used to capture those beautiful smiles and personalities! :)

Yes! My studio is fully equipped for Newborn Portraiture with a ginormous ever-growing collection of High-End Props, Wraps, Hats, Headbands and Bonnets, Outfits and Rompers. 
All you have to do is bring me the baby! :)

Newborn Session packages range from 1-2 hours in length. I'll help you prepare your little one so we can get the very best of baby for the session with a session prep guide emailed to you before our session date.

Soft neutrals photograph beautifully in my light-filled studio. After booking, you’ll receive a detailed preparation guide with wardrobe suggestions. I’m also happy to recommend a trusted professional makeup artist if you’d like to feel extra polished for your session.

Newborn sessions are always baby-led and gently paced. I allow time for feeding, soothing, and settling so the experience remains calm and unhurried. Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my highest priority.

To help your little one stay sleepy and content, here are a few simple tips before arriving:

• Try to keep baby awake for a short window (30–60 minutes) before the session if possible.
• Feed baby fully right before you leave or once you arrive at the studio. A full tummy makes all the difference.
• Dress baby in a loose sleeper to avoid clothing marks on the skin.
• Keep baby warm on the way to the studio — warmth helps them stay cozy and sleepy.
• Bring extra milk or formula if bottle feeding, just in case we need a little top-off.

And if baby still needs extra cuddles? That’s perfectly okay. I have photographed hundreds of newborns and move at a pace that honors your baby’s needs.

There is no rush here — only patience, warmth, and gentle care. 🤍

Just your baby and a few simple essentials — everything else is thoughtfully prepared for you.

Please bring:

• Feeding supplies (extra bottles, pumped milk, or formula if needed)
• A pacifier, even if baby doesn’t use one often — it can be incredibly helpful for soothing
• Extra diapers and wipes
• A burp cloth or two

If parents or siblings are being photographed, come dressed and camera-ready to make the transition smooth and relaxed.

All wraps, headbands, hats, props, and styling elements are provided in studio. There is no need to shop, pack outfits, or coordinate colors.

Simply arrive, settle in, and allow me to take care of the rest. 🤍

Depending on my schedule and availability, I would consider booking an In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session. This would not include any props or wraps from the studio.
